A bumper weekend of domestic Premier League and EFL football kicks-off tonight with the live EFL Championship game between Derby and Cardiff at Pride Park. It’s a big game for both teams who were pre-season favourites to win the league but have struggled for consistency so far and are off the pace as a result. On Saturday there’s three live games starting with two lunchtime kick-offs in the Premier League and Championship and the teatime kick-off in the Premier League.

Liverpool face Newcastle United at Anfield in the live lunchtime kick-off and it should be a comfortable win for the Reds who have dominated this fixture in the past. The early Championship kick-off is a top-six clash between Fulham and West Brom at Craven Cottage and on current form I like West Brom’s chances of leaving London with at least a point. At team-time Norwich welcome Premier League champions Manchester City to Carrow road and I expect a City win and high scoring game.

From the 3pm kick-offs Leicester City will fancy their chances at Old Trafford against an inconsistent Manchester United as will Wolves who face a defensively suspect Chelsea at Molineux. In the Championship high flying Swansea and Preston look decent value against Nottingham Forest and Brentford respectively and in League One Sunderland, Blackpool and Ipswich will be popular selections on many people’s accumulators this weekend.
