It’s quarter-finals day on the ATP Tour at Metz, France and St Petersburg, Russia and at Metz three-time champion Tsonga (advised @ 9/1) is still on track to win the title, he’ll face second seed Basilashvili today and this will be their third meeting with the head-to-head standing at 1-1. Third Seed Paire and Wild Card Barrere is a French quarter-final and Paire is favourite to progress due to his higher ranking and because he leads the head-to-head 2-0. The remaining Frenchman in the field fourth seed Pouille faces talented Serb Krajinovic for a place in tomorrow’s semi-finals and Pouille leads the head-to-head 2-1. Finally, the remaining quarterfinal is between unseeded players Carreno-Busta from Spain and Bedene from Slovenia and this is a tough one to call as the head-to-head stands at 3-3.
Over in St Petersburg top-seed Medvedev is still on track to win his home title, he contests an all-Russian quarter-final against fifth seed Rublev and the top-seed is favourite to progress as he leads the head-to-head 2-0. Third seed Berettinni (advised @ 7/1) faces qualifier Gerasimov from Belarus today and the head-to-head stands at 1-1, fourth seed Coric from Croatia faces eighth seed NextGen star Rudd from Norway for the first time and finally, sixth seed Kukushkin (advised @ 28/1) faces the unseeded Portuguese veteran Sousa for the fifth time with the head-to-head standing at 2-2.
