Portugal Masters Vilamoura
Tom Lewis is the defending champion having also won this in 2011, his maiden tour win. This is once again, a European event that does not have strength in depth, and it may offer someone the chance to get back to winning ways, or possibly one of the rookies to make a breakthrough. The course has had a makeover to make it a tougher test and designed to stop some of the players cutting corners on some of the dogleg holes. Scoring should still be good although there is plenty of water on the back nine which could have a big say.

The Zozo Championship Chiba Japan
This is a new tournament and the first PGA event to take place in Japan. The field consists of 78 players and there is no cut. A quick look at the course suggests accuracy will be paramount as there are some narrow fairways off the tee and the greens are fairly tight. Many of the world’s top players are in attendance, including Tiger Woods who is guaranteed to draw in the crowds. With no course form to go on it is very difficult to know who might be suited to this tournament, although if you don’t keep the ball in play from the tee, it will be a struggle.
