Leicester City extended their Premier League winning run to eight matches yesterday thanks to a dominant 1-4 away win at new boys Aston Villa yesterday, which maintained their eight point deficit against leaders Liverpool and four point lead over reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, who lost further ground in the title race after losing the Manchester Derby 2-1 on Saturday. There were also good wins for Newcastle United and Sheffield United yesterday who beat relegation threatened Southampton 2-1 and Norwich 1-2 respectively.

The weekend Premier League action comes to an end tonight with the traditional Monday night Premier League game, this time between West Ham and Arsenal at the London Stadium. The domestic and European football action continues to come thick and fast this week with EFL Championship and UEFA Champions League action tonight and tomorrow night.
