No joy last weekend with Dustin Johnson threatening to win and trading as low as 3/1 in the final round, but on a difficult day forscoring, Adam Scott held his nerve with a -1 under par closing round to win by two. Rory McIlroy had gone favourite in running before a triple bogey seven at the 5th hole followed by a bogey on the next, scuppered his chances.

Dustin Johnson was the winner last year by 5 shots from Rory McIlroy and by a further five shots from three players tied for third. He also won in 2017 with Phil Mickelson the winner in between.
The course is heavily tree - lined with tight fairways and because of its altitude above sea level, the ball flies further. However, accuracy from the tee is required so correct club choice is paramount to keep the ball in play with the extra distance that the conditions afford. There is a maximum field of 72 and there is no halfway cut. A number of players who played well in the Genesis will turn up here full of hope.
